Making Jewelry

If you're serious about creating jewelry and think you'll make a couple of pieces, it will be worthwhile to purchase the basics.  I went to Michael's to purchase mine and if the item isn't on sale, you can always count on their website to have a coupon.  As far as tools; I'd suggest to purchase a whole tool kit rather than to purchase the items separately since it's cheaper.

First, you will definitely need a:

Bent Nose Pliers
Flat Nose Pliers
Long Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Side Cutter
Micrometer

Other main accessories (in bronze or silver depending on your preference):

Eye Pins
Lobster Clasp and Crimp Beads
Jump Rings
Stringing Beading Wire

The rest is up to you on what you'd like to choose for:

Chains for necklaces or bracelets

Pendants, Connectors, and Beads

Charms

Beads

Once you have all of the items, give yourself plenty of time to make your first piece.

Good luck beading!
